Renaming your planner

The name in Dayfolio

Step 1 — Name & appearance sets the planner's name as it appears at app.dayfolio.io and as the file name on the first upload (for example Dayfolio Planner 2026). You can change it at any time; it's mostly a label to tell your planners apart if you have more than one.

The file on your reMarkable

After the first sync, the planner is a regular document in My files. Rename it, move it into a folder, tag it — Dayfolio keeps updating that same file, because it tracks the document by its identity in the reMarkable Cloud, not by its name or location. Renaming it on the tablet doesn't rename it in Dayfolio, and vice versa; they're independent.

What not to do

Don't delete the file on the reMarkable and don't create copies to work in. The file Dayfolio syncs to is the one that carries your handwriting; a copy or a re-downloaded file starts fresh. See Renaming, moving or deleting the planner file.
