The footer: when was this planner generated?

Every page ends with a small footer: a sync icon and a date and time on the left, dayfolio.io on the right. The time is the moment this version of the planner was generated — it's the quickest way to answer "is my planner up to date?".

Your planner card at app.dayfolio.io shows Last synced — the time of the last sync run. The footer shows the time of the last generation. They're usually the same, but not always:

  • A sync only generates a new PDF when something changed. With Smart Sync+, a run that finds nothing new — no new events, no task ticked, no setting touched — finishes without regenerating the planner. In that case Last synced moves forward and the footer doesn't, and the planner on your tablet is still the latest version.

  • Pressing Sync now or changing a setting always regenerates, so after one of those the footer should catch up with Last synced.

So the rule of thumb: the footer is only "old" when it's older than a change you made — an event you added, a task you completed, a setting you changed, a Sync now you pressed. If it still shows a time before that change, the tablet hasn't downloaded the new file yet: close the planner, wait for the sync icon on the reMarkable home screen, and reopen. The first page is a cover with the year and your device. It's the page you land on when you jump to page 1.
