Your notes stay: canceled meetings, year end and beyond

The Meeting Notes pages are part of the planner PDF on your reMarkable, and the planner is regenerated around your handwriting. A few situations people ask about:

The meeting is moved or canceled

The page stays. Dayfolio never removes a Meeting Notes page once it exists, because you may have written on it. The page gets an ARCHIVED badge and is listed under the Archived tab of the Meetings Index; if the meeting was rescheduled, the new date gets its own page. Leave it in place even if it's blank: deleting, duplicating or moving pages on the tablet can put the planner's page index out of step, so links open the wrong page — see Repair planner index. Extra pages you added

Pages you inserted with ⋮ menu (three dots) → Add note page — behind a meeting or anywhere else — stay exactly where you put them, through every sync. See Add extra pages to a meeting.

The year changes

A planner covers one calendar year. For the new year there's a new planner (we'll send instructions in December), which is a separate file on the tablet. The previous year's planner remains on your reMarkable as it is — every Meeting Notes page, every extra page and all your handwriting — and simply stops receiving updates. Open it from your files whenever you need last year's notes.

The planner stops syncing

If your planner is no longer synced — for example after your subscription ends — the file on the reMarkable stays, with everything you wrote. It just doesn't receive new events or new pages. Nothing is deleted from your tablet.

Your handwriting stays on your tablet

Your notes live in the planner file on your reMarkable. Dayfolio only checks whether a Meeting Notes page or a task circle has a mark, for the pencil badge, the With notes tab of the Meetings Index and completing tasks. See Your data and connections: always in your control.
