Notes for meetings that aren't on your calendar

Meeting Notes pages come from calendar events. For everything else — an unplanned call, a hallway conversation, a work calendar you can't connect — the planner still has room.

A quick note page, anywhere

On your reMarkable, open the Day View of the date (or any page) and tap ⋮ menu (three dots) → Add note page. Pick a lined, dotted or blank template in Layers and write. The page is kept in place through every sync. Add one after each Day View if you like a daily free-writing page. See Add a note page anywhere in your planner.

A work calendar you can't connect

Some organizations block both the Microsoft sign-in and iCal publishing. Two ways to keep meeting notes anyway:

  1. Copy the meetings you care about into a personal calendar (Google or Outlook.com) connected to Dayfolio. Set Step 7 to Create pages for all timed events, since your copies usually have no other attendees or links. Each copy then gets a normal Meeting Notes page. Changes to the original meeting don't propagate to your copy, so update both when a meeting moves.

  2. If your organization allows it, publish an iCal link from Outlook (Settings → Calendar → Shared calendars → Publish a calendar) and add it in Step 6. See Connecting Microsoft Calendar (Outlook, Microsoft 365).

Meetings that already happened

Pages are created ahead of time, so a meeting from before you started using Dayfolio has none. Use a note page on that day's Day View and, if it's a recurring meeting, its future occurrences will have proper pages from the next sync on.

Finding those notes later

Note pages you add sit right where you put them: behind a Day View or behind a meeting's page. The With notes tab of the Meetings Index lists meetings with handwriting; for free pages, the Day View of that date is the way back.
