Glossary
Additional Planner — a second planner that Dayfolio generates and keeps updated at the same time as your first one (for example a full-size planner and a Move planner). Requires an Additional Planner license. Without it, a single planner can still be read on every tablet signed in to the same reMarkable account; each person with their own reMarkable account needs their own Dayfolio subscription.
Archived (meeting) — a Meeting Notes page whose event was canceled or moved after the page was created. The page is kept so your notes aren't lost.
Calendar mode / Planning mode — the two cell styles of the Month View: fill the cell with every event, or show up to three events and keep space for handwriting.
Daily sync — the one automatic planner update per day, at the hour you choose. Manual syncs (Sync now) are unlimited.
Day View / Week View / Month View / Year View — the four calendar pages of the planner. See Your planner at a glance.
Device format — full-size (Paper Pro, reMarkable 1, reMarkable 2, Paper Pure) or Paper Pro Move. Chosen when the planner is created and fixed afterwards.
Generation window — how far ahead Meeting Notes pages are created: the current week plus the next week (2 weeks) or plus the next four (4 weeks ahead).
High legibility — an appearance option that renders event text in solid black with bolder fonts for e-ink screens.
ICS / iCal feed — a subscription link that exposes a calendar to other apps. Dayfolio can read any public ICS link (Apple iCloud, Outlook, Cozi, Nextcloud…). Feeds carry less detail than a native connection.
Live Preview — the panel in the calendar, meeting notes and tasks setup steps that shows what would appear on a given date before you sync.
Magic link — the passwordless sign-in email; it contains a link and a one-time code.
Meetings Index — the list of all meetings with notes pages, with Recent, Upcoming, With notes and Archived tabs.
OAuth (native connection) — connecting Google or Microsoft directly, with their sign-in screen. Gives Dayfolio the richest event data (attendees, meeting links, colors).
reMarkable Cloud — reMarkable's own sync service, the channel Dayfolio uses to deliver your planner. A paid reMarkable Connect subscription is not required.
Repair planner index — a tool on your planner page at app.dayfolio.io that rebuilds the reMarkable's page index when links open the wrong page or pages appear duplicated. It keeps your handwriting, as long as the tablet has finished syncing before you run it, and it saves a backup copy of the planner first. See Repair planner index.
Reserved pages — blank pages at the end of the planner that Dayfolio fills in as new pages are needed. Don't write on them. See Reached a blank "Reserved page"? Your planner is still there.
Series — all occurrences of one recurring meeting. Each series has its own page and its notes pages link to the previous and next occurrence.
Smart detection — the meeting notes mode that creates pages only for events with two or more attendees or a video-call link.
Smart Sync+ — the optional add-on that syncs the planner many times a day instead of once.
Tasks Index — the page listing every task from your connected apps, by section, by list and by source.
Two-way completion sync — ticking a task with your pen completes it in Todoist, Google Tasks, Microsoft To Do or Microsoft Planner on the next sync; erasing the tick reopens it. Tasks themselves are still created in the app.
