Connecting your reMarkable account
Dayfolio delivers your planner through the reMarkable Cloud, so it needs a one-time pairing with your reMarkable account. This is done in Step 10 — Sync method of the setup.
Before you start
Your tablet must be connected to Wi-Fi and signed in to your reMarkable account (the account you use at my.remarkable.com).
A paid reMarkable Connect subscription is not required.
Developer Mode is not required and should stay off.
Pair Dayfolio with your reMarkable
In Dayfolio, go to Step 10 — Sync method and keep reMarkable Cloud selected.
Dayfolio will ask you for a one-time code. Open my.remarkable.com in another tab, sign in, and generate a code for connecting a new app (under Devices and apps).
Copy the 8-character code and paste it into Dayfolio.
Once you see Already connected — Your reMarkable is linked, press Save & close and then Sync now.
The code is only used once to pair. Afterwards, Dayfolio keeps an encrypted connection token and syncs on its own — you never have to enter a code again unless you choose to reconnect.
Re-pairing or switching accounts
On the same step you'll find Reconnect with a different code. Use it if you changed reMarkable account, revoked the connection, or support asks you to reconnect. The current link keeps working until the new code is accepted, so nothing is interrupted if you stop halfway.
Next to it, Disconnect reMarkable removes the link altogether, after a confirmation. Syncs for that planner then fail, because the reMarkable Cloud connection is required: the planner file stays on your tablet with your notes, but it no longer receives updates. Until you reconnect or delete the planner from your dashboard, you may receive emails about the failed syncs.
Where it shows up on the reMarkable side
At my.remarkable.com → Devices and apps, reMarkable lists paired apps with generic names (such as "Windows app" or "Linux app") rather than "Dayfolio". You can unpair it there at any time, which stops Dayfolio from syncing.
